About Me

Welcome! My name is Phil, and I am a PhD student at UCL, currently working on AI applied to RF sensing.

I did my MEng at the University of Bath where I received a First in Integrated Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. I completed my final project on Machine Learning for Exercise Monitoring from a Wearable Network of Inertial Sensors with Dr Alan Hunter. I also partook in the 2022 Team Bath Racing Formula Student AI team, where we achieved first place in the Autonomous Driving system class. I led the development of the car control system designing a model predictive controller for the car. As part of my dissertation towards my MSc I worked on alternative training methods for Test-Time Training layers, a linear complexity alternative to the attention block.

When not working, you can find me either running, hiking, cooking or making music.🎷

Projects

Here are some past projects I have worked on in the past!

Preference Modelling for LLMs in Education

Melanoma Classification for SIIM-ISIC Kaggle competition

Forecasting the S&P 500

Exercise Monitoring with Inertial Sensors
